This skull ornament is a fun and easy way to liven up your fire pit, especially around the Halloween season. The skull is made out of specially formulated glass lightweight ceramic fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC). GFRC is created using cement, glass fibers, aggregates, and polymers to generate a high strength material at a fraction of the weight of pre-cast concrete. GFRC cannot rust like steel, is weather-resistant, fire retardant, impermeable, and has superior durability in outdoor applications. This skull ornament is only for outdoor use in an open environment. Note that ornament characteristics will improve overtime as soot is built upon the surface, eventually leading to a long burning, charred appearance. This is handcrafted one at a time. It is, therefore, very rare to create identical items. Every piece is the creation of an artist and based on craft styles that are centuries old.
